His current tour, An Evening with Andrew McMahon and His Piano, features only himself and said piano. Playing a mix of songs from his days as the frontman of rock band, Something Corporate, along with tracks from, Jack's Mannequin and Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, Andrew's music and lyricism captivated the crowd from the very first song.

Along the Layne

Opening the night was Ivory Layne, an independent pop artist originally from North Carolina who now calls Music City home. With a distinctive voice, graceful stage presence, and witty banter, Layne quickly won over the crowd. Kicking off her set with a playful song about wanting a flip phone to talk to boys, she balanced clever, lighthearted songwriting with more introspective moments. Touching on music, men and, money, along with the challenges of turning thirty while pursuing her dreams, Layne showcased both her humor and vulnerability. She also shared how a simple text from Andrew landed her the opening slot on the tour, a revelation that delighted the audience and added a personal touch to an already captivating set.

As the night continued, Andrew took the stage to an attentive crowd, opening with “Nobody Tells You When You’re Young” and immediately drawing everyone in. Throughout the set, he encouraged singalongs and shared personal stories, reflecting on turning twenty-one and realizing how much time had passed since the song’s inspiration. He also paid tribute to Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory who had recently passed away, expressing gratitude for the friendship and support he received from the band early in his career before dedicating “I Want to Save You” to them.

The evening took a more personal turn as Andrew spoke candidly about his cancer journey and the survivor’s guilt he experienced, dedicating “Swim” to everyone affected by the disease. Fellow musician and friend Zac Clark also joined him onstage for a brief performance, adding another special moment to the night. The mood shifted back to playful as the crowd enthusiastically sang along to “Fuck You Jordan.” Andrew then revealed that he was writing new music, exciting fans even more, before offering a snippet of “Konstantine,” the nearly ten-minute fan favorite from his Something Corporate days, at the request of someone in the audience.
